ABOUT

Anne Phillips was born and raised in "the city of tulips" - Holland, Michigan. With a Great Lake as her backdrop, she quickly developed a love for art. In 2005, Anne graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in scientific illustration. After graduation, she stayed in Ann Arbor and began working as a medical illustrator for the University of Michigan Health System. Through her work at the hospital, she connected and collaborated with art therapist Kathy Richards-Peal to create The Active Book, a special book for teens in the hospital. Working on this project inspired Anne to continue her education and pursue a master’s degree in art therapy at Drexel University.
